Cypripedium pubescens - Large Yellow Lady’s Slipper - The Large Yellow Lady’s Slipper is the most common Lady’s Slipper in North America.This beautiful orchid reaches a height up to 32 inches. The slipper shaped flower has beautiful dark brown to maroon petals with a rich, waxy looking yellow lip accented by internal maroon spots. In nature these plants are found in rich, moist and fairly open deciduous or mixed forests. In domestic culture, the Yellow Lady’s Slipper is considered to be the easiest of all of the Lady’s Slipper species to grow. As with all terrestrial orchids soil drainage is the main concern.
