#130. Bletilla ochracea - yellow flowers
Hardy Chinese Orchid– Bletilla ochracea – Bloom Time: late Spring.  Bletilla ochracea grows best in full sun in the northern climates to partial shade in the south and in sandy soil with moderate moisture.  Make large clumps within a few years with flowering spikes up to 24" and as many as 10- 20 flowers per spike.   Flowering size tubers.  Best planted in the Spring.    Hardiness Zone 7 – 10(6b with winter protection). SPRING ONLY.
