Hardy Chinese Orchid – Bletilla striata - White form– Bloom Time: Spring.  Bletilla striata can be grown almost anywhere but does best in full sun to partial shade and in sandy soil with moderate moisture.  Make large clumps within a few years with flowering spikes 14" to 16" and as many as 10 - 15 flowers per spike.   Flowering size tubers.  Best planted in the Spring.    Hardiness Zone 6 – 10.
